In order to spruce up their home interiors, a number of the country's householders are aiming to open up their dining rooms and kitchens, it is suggested, which may interest Wooden Venetian Blinds users.

According to Jim Hustwit, UK country manager at MyHammer, opening up rooms has become a fashionable trend in recent times.

He stated: "If you have got a separate dining room and kitchen area, knocking through that wall gives a lot of space to a property.

"We get quite a lot of requests from people wanting walls knocked down."

By helping to create open-plan interiors in people's homes, consumers who decide to get rid of barriers between their rooms could improve the airiness of their properties, Mr Hustwit went on to say.

Energy efficiency is something which property improvers might want to focus more of their attentions on in the months to come, it was recently suggested by Andrew Leech, director at the National Home Improvement Council.
