Home improvers aiming to spruce up parts of their properties such as bathrooms and kitchens may be able to consider the use of technical add-ons, it has been suggested, which may interest the likes of Window Blinds users.

According to Jeff Summers, sales manager at Videotree, items such as integrated screens are becoming increasingly affordable for ordinary householders.

He stated: "It started off in hotels; very high level hotels would have these in the bathroom as a special thing for people.

"Now it's moving very rapidly into the home, and lots of designers are recommending it to people."

Mr Summers went on to suggest that technologies which traditionally feature in people's homes such as cookers and fridges have peaked to an extent.

The expert outlined his views on these issues as part of the recent Grand Design Live London event, which the capital played host to between April 30th and May 8th.
