Homeowners are becoming more and more interested in investing in quality
Venetian Blinds and other
Window Blinds, an expert has claimed.
Paul Wolff, director of Victorian house builders Porter Davis, told the Brimbank Leader that new glass-production technology has made windows less expensive.
This means that people are choosing to have more windows in their houses and they are starting to "embrace natural light opportunities".
Mr Wolff explained that traditional home designs incorporated few windows, and so were very closed off to fresh air.
"Air would come through the front and back doors with a very limited use of windows so there wasn't much emphasis on stylish or quality window coverings," he added.
Mr Wolff suggested that people with modern homes with lots of windows are using products such as
Venetian Blinds to let sunlight "seep" into rooms.
Earlier this month, Dr James McGuinness told bestofneworleans.com that
Window Blinds can also be useful in office environments, as they help to prevent sunlight glare on computer screens.
