Window Blinds have played a role in an energy awareness scheme which a Gloucestershire school recently launched, it has been revealed.
BBC News has reported that Churchdown's Chosen Hill School used blinds and also moved classrooms as part of the awareness day.
This was in order to make the most of the natural light which the sun provides.
Commenting on the eco-friendly efforts of the school, Adam Oliver, its assistant head teacher, told the news provider: "We are delighted that students are taking the lead in the vital area of environmental sustainability - and doing so with such energy and creativity."
Window Blinds can serve a range of purposes, with Canvas Line suggesting last month that light blinds could be added to people's homes now that spring is here, instead of heavier coverings.
Curtains which feature light colours could also be introduced to the homes of consumers this spring, the firm suggested.
