Window Blinds, which may include items like
Vertical Blinds, could be opened to enable winter sunlight to enter people's homes, it has been suggested.
Writing in an article published by the Economic Times, N Natarajan noted that this could help consumers to warm up their houses when the weather is chilly.
The commentator stated: "Turn the sunlight inside your home by opening the window's blinds, in whichever side of the house where the sun shines. Solar power is both abundant and free."
In the same piece, the writer also encouraged people to think about addressing any leaks in their properties where warm air could escape this winter.
The Met Office recently released provisional research suggesting that December of last year was the coldest the UK has witnessed since the start of the national series.
A minus one degree C mean temperature was witnessed across the country during the month, the organisation highlighted.
