Speaking in an article published by the Shropshire Star this week, Brintons design manager Kelly Butler commented that the pattern of a carpet is something which people may need to take into consideration.
She stated: "Do remember that light colours for floors as on walls will make a room seem larger, while dark colours will make it seem more cosy and intimate."
Surface noise could also be tackled with the help of carpets in people's homes, Ms Butler went on to explain in the article.
People's domestic properties could potentially be enhanced with the help of mood lighting when it is applied in the right manner, it was recently suggested by Eva Hammerson, head of design at Kandabi.
