Many of the country's householders are currently quite keen to opt for second hand home furnishings, rather than items which are brand new, figures have suggested this week, which may interest those who are considering the use of
Vertical Blinds.
As many as 28 per cent of home furnishings are now either being borrowed from others, bought on a second hand basis or handed down, according to Santander Mortgages research.
The firm's director Phil Cliff noted that financial savings can potentially be made if homes are improved in this cost effective manner.
He stated: "Many buyers are so focused on saving for the deposit and fees that they don't have as much as they'd like left in the bank for furniture and furnishings."
Meanwhile, Sandra Drechsler, creative director at Taylor Howes Designs, also recently suggested that innovative and fun furniture styles are proving popular among some consumers at the moment.
