Consumers aiming to boost the values of their homes might want to consider certain forms of property improvement work, an expert has suggested, which may interest

According to Joe McLoughlin, director of OurProperty.co.uk, house values could improve with the help of projects such as bathroom and kitchen enhancements.
When it comes to people's current focus on property repairs, he stated: "Anecdotally I would say attics, kitchens and bathrooms at the moment are the three things that I would think are probably the most popular."
Renovations and home extensions might be better options for people at present in comparison to remortgaging, Mr McLoughlin went on to suggest.
However, home improvers were also warned by the expert to steer clear of people who could potentially be 'cowboy' builders.
Last month, DIY may have been undertaken by as many as 28 per cent of the country's homeowners, Halifax Home Insurance figures recently suggested.
