The values of people's houses in the UK could potentially be given a boost if they opt to make certain improvements to their properties in the near future.
That is according to Build It magazine editor Anna-Marie DeSouza, who noted that values could go up if people add extra space to their homes.
She said: "Top improvements are adding extra space such as back extensions, loft conversions or even basements.
"As long as you don't go overboard with your budget, creating this extra space will add to your home's re-sale value."
Ms DeSouza suggested that consumers will be able to create more storage areas for themselves by adding space within their home interiors, in views which may interest the likes of
Roman Blinds owners.
When it comes to people's homes, Richard Moss, head of communications at Mark Wilkinson Furniture, recently suggested at the Grand Designs Live London event that property designs are becoming more about "open living".
