UK householders have been warned that they will need to be careful when undertaking key property improvements in the near future.
According to Andrew Leech, director at the National Home Improvement Council, people with small budgets to play around with could potentially look to enhance the "actual systems" which their homes make use of.
However, he added: "You have also got to be careful that you are quite competent at doing these jobs because some of these things like electricity and gas require specialists."
Home improvers might have to deal with unwanted repercussions in future months if they fail to get clearance for certain enhancements they make, Mr Leech continued.
Roller Blinds owners aiming to spruce up their homes might also be interested to note that Linda Barker, interior designer and TV presenter, recently suggested that a balanced approach needs to be taken when it comes to people's home designs.
