Homeowners looking to avoid burglaries in the near future have been offered some window-related guidance by one commentator, in a development which may interest those considering the adoption of products such as
Panel Blinds.
According to the Halifax Home Insurance senior claims managers, Martyn Foulds, people should take steps so that would-be thieves are unable to see desirable products through the front windows of their houses.
He added: "Making sure a house looks occupied, such as leaving a light or radio on, when no one is home can also help."
Adequate home insurance is also something which people might want to think about investing in if burglary concerns are playing on their minds at the moment, Mr Foulds went on to suggest.
The DirectGov information website currently recommends that people should make use of decent external lighting if they are hoping to deter potential burglars, while also adopting visual alarm systems.
