Ahead of the royal wedding bank holiday weekend later this month, householders have been provided with a range of home security guidance, in a development which may interest the likes of
Panel Blinds users.
Due to a heightened risk of domestic burglaries, AXA suggests that window locks should be used by consumers who are heading away from home during the weekend, while people should also alert their neighbours to the fact they will not be in.
In a list of advice, the firm added: "Don't advertise your plans to be out or away on Twitter or Facebook - the modern burglar knows how to use the internet to monitor your movements."
AXA's home insurance underwriting manager, James Barclay, noted that events like the royal wedding can end up creating bigger burglary risks for homeowners.
Prince William is set to marry long-term girlfriend Kate Middleton on April 29th, which has been decreed an extra bank holiday by the coalition government.
