An expert has outlined some of the potential implications which may arise if people decide to amend their homes with the help of extensions or loft conversions, in views which might interest

According to Jim Hustwit, the UK country manager at MyHammer, despite the large costs involved with such property improvement projects, conversions and extensions could both potentially add some value to people's houses in the long term.
However, he did issue a warning to those who are looking to move homes in the near future, saying conversions may not be the best option because "realistically you will probably pay more for the conversion than you would make in the increased value of the property".
Home improvements could be made by as many as 60 per cent of people over the course of 2011, it was suggested by MyHammer survey results towards the end of last month.
