Colour is currently proving popular among the country's home improvers, one expert has suggested, in a development which may interest those hoping to complement new Panel Blinds.

According to Adrienne Chinn, chief interior designer at Adrienne Chinn, people's attitudes may have changed when it comes to their home designs, with hotel-style looks giving way to much more relaxed rooms.

She stated: "The way of designing where you only had certain things go in certain places and you must not mess it up, which was very much that five-star hotel look, I think that has gone."

Family pictures are among the less formal features which people may now be adding to their properties, rather than slightly more sleek accessories, Ms Chinn went on to suggest.

Black is a colour which some consumers may currently be opting for in their bathrooms, it was noted last week by Cheryl Gurner, creative director of Bathrooms International.
