According to Cheryl Gurner, creative director at Bathrooms International, accessories could also feature accent colours to enhance the appearance of a bathroom further, with mirrors capable of being used too.
She stated: "I love the new mixed shade flooring which, in my opinion, is a feature in itself ... The rest of the room should be painted or tiled in either plain white or a neutral colour."
When it comes to home improvements, Anna-Marie DeSouza, editor at Build It magazine, recently noted that certain householders are keen to try and future-proof their properties at the present time.
This might lead them to consider borrowing money to meet the costs of these enhancements, she suggested.
