People might want to think about elements of their homes such as Window Blinds when considering their property's security this Christmas, it is suggested.

Commenting in an article submitted to EMC Stittsville/Richmond, Ryan Strotmann has offered some guidance to those who are likely to leave their houses at certain times over the festive season.

Among the guidance issued by Mr Strotmann, he noted: "The key to protecting your home while you are away is to make it look as though you never left: keep shades and blinds in their normal position."

Window and doors are also areas he believes householders should focus on, with these needing to be locked.

Valuables should also be kept secure, the expert continued in the article.

Those with Aluminium Venetian Blinds might also want to note the suggestions made by Gill Sankey in the Crewe Chronicle recently, with the writer stating that heat retention could be supported if blinds are shut at night.
