Garden security is something which house-proud consumers with attractive properties should keep in mind if they are hoping to make sure their homes are safe this summer, it has been suggested.
According to price comparison site moneysupermarket.com, fences should be in a good condition in order to deter would-be thieves, while outbuildings like sheds need to be properly locked too.
Meanwhile, the site noted that security lights could also come in handy as part of people's plans to safeguard their homes.
Its head of home insurance, Julie Owens, noted that people's gardens can contain a number of quite valuable items.
She stated: "Landscaped gardens and costly furniture items are prime targets for thieves, as are decadent statues and expensive plants."
Ageas Insurance and the Neighbourhood Watch Trust recently suggested that people could angle their
Window Blinds, which might include products like
Venetian Blinds, so that burglars are unable to see into their properties.
