People might want to close their
Aluminium Venetian Blinds if they are worried about the impact that sunlight could have on wooden floors within their homes, it is suggested.
According to Oak Floors Online, curtains could be adopted to deal with the potential threat of the sun along with blinds.
The firm recommended: "The sun's UV [ultra-violet] rays can discolour some species of wood flooring, especially when installed in sun rooms and conservatories, so care should be taken to protect it by closing the
Window Blinds."
Meanwhile, householders could also take action to protect their wooden flooring by dealing with furniture in the right way when moving it, the company believes.
Rather than dragging pieces of furniture across wooden floors, property owners should take the time to lift them properly, it highlighted.
Opaque blinds could prove useful in enabling consumers to block out sunlight, it was recently opined by Hunter Douglas' director of creative services Sally Morse when speaking to Shelterpop.
